FOR SALE

Up for sale is my recently completed Replica of a 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition. It was completed in the summer of 2007 and has probably driven less than 100km since completed.

I have picked up another project vehicle and I just can't justify owning two exotics. It was a hard decision, but my Countach is looking for a new home.

The amount of attention this car gets is incredible . I have only driven it in the immediate area surrounding my home, but you would be amazed at how people react to it. If you are not into getting attention, this is not the car for you. I have had people follow me home. I have had people stop their vehicle in the MIDDLE OF THE ROAD to take a photo of it. I have had people follow me until I stop and then ask for photos standing beside it. This car will get a million times more attention that a new Corvette or any other high-end sports car, guaranteed!

It is low... fast... and sleek!

This car was taken down to the frame when built, not simply stripped and re-bodied. All new polyurethane bushings and heavy duty sway bars were installed. The vast majority of parts, including the new crate engine, are brand new.

If you are not familiar with replicas, you will need a brief education. Replicas are not production vehicles. Each one has a unique personality and quirks that you don't get with other cars. If you do not have basic mechanical and electrical skills, you will need to know someone that does, or have the money to pay someone else with those skills. There is always something to do with a replica car, be it tweaking something for a better fit, finishing up some trim, or upgrading what's already there. It is a (thankfully) never ending project that is constantly evolving. Make sure that you know what you're buying before you buy.

Like all replicas, this one can use some more work to get it up to 100%. The major things are:

- The windshield has a crack in it that just developed (the glass is less than 2 months old. There must have been a flaw in it at installation). It is flat glass, and should not be expensive to replace. Any glass shop can cut and install it in no time.

- The interior trim needs to be finished. I will include extra carpet and vinyl for that purpose. The trunk also needs to be lined.

- Fenderwells need to be installed. I will include the 2mm Sintra board for this purpose.

- The right hand side indicator LED in the dash has a loose connection. The guage surround needs to be pulled and the connections tightened (2 screws, probably take about 20 minutes or less to fix)

- The Speedo is not hooked up. A new wire needs to be run from the tranny sender to the gauge. Should take about 45 minutes or so to do. Not a big deal, actually, as the car has the built in dynamics computer through the AVIC-N3 which can display speed in kph or mph.

- Timing cover is leaking oil. A new gasket needs to be installed. Should take a decent mechanic about three or four hours to do (estimate from my mechanic)

- The heater temp slider came undone. The cable needs to be reattached (probably 20 minutes)

- Heater hose is not connected at this time (too hot here in the summer). I have the fitting to connect it. Reattaching would take about 10 minutes.

- The mounting brackets for the front hood gas lifters popped out (previous owner used bondo to secure them in place). They'll need to be 'glassed in place again. Probably 20 minutes to get them in place again.

-A/C pump is mounted, but lines need to be run and the condenser (which is included) installed up front.

- Front driving lights are installed but not connected.

As far as I know, that is everything that should be done. I haven't had the car on the road very long, so I haven't given it a real "field-test" with a long distance drive. Around town, its been running like a champ so far.

What is included in this sale:

1.) The car (obviously)
2.) New car cover
3.) All manuals and instructions
4.) spare VDO oil pressure and clock gauges
5.) Three fobs for alarm system / doors
6.) Lexan for creating headlight covers (if wanted)
7.) Extra vinyl and carpet
8.) Extra emblems

I have a walkaround video of this car available for download (approx 15mb, .wmv format). I'm sorry, but I just could not get the sound to work for this clip no matter what I did.
I also have a short clip of the car driving in my cul-de-sac so that you can hear it running. This was taken before my glass was installed this spring.

Buyer is responsible for pickup of vehicle. Delivery options are available, although international buyers are fully responsible for the importation and customs clearance of their vehicle. I will take no responsibility for that aspect whatsoever.

I've been getting tons of questions, so I thought I'd post a bit more information for everyone.

Tall people can drive this call without any issues whatsoever.  I am 6'2" tall and 205lbs and I am very comfortable driving this car.  The driver's side belly pan is dropped 3" and the passenger side is dropped 2".  When sitting comfortably, my head is about 1/2" from the headliner.

I am also including a set of spare real Lamborghini taillight lenses, a tire jack, and the 1/4" thick lexan (not plexiglass) needed if you want to build the lenses for the headlights to make it more authentic looking.

The sound system consists of the AVIC-N3 head unit and two SONY 280W speakers.  It sounds awesome in that small cab.  The vehicle dynamics computer that is part of this unit is tons of fun and very useful if you plan on making modifications to the car in any way.  It can measure acceleration, side acceleration, slope, voltage, speed, time, and a host of other great specs.  If you make a modification, you can see what it actually does to your performance in real numbers.  The head unit also encompasses the backup camera system, which can come on automatically when you shift into reverse, or it can be switched on manually to aid in everyday road driving.

The alarm system has a built in vibration sensor that can detect when people bump the car.  You'll get paged by the system through the two way remote if and when that happens.  The remote also controls the driver and passenger door.  Pressing the driver's door button will deactivate the alarm and pop the door at the same time (it looks and sounds really cool).  There is a manual release for the driver's door inside the car in case the battery goes dead or you loose your fob.  Three fobs are included.  Two are already coded to the car (the two way and the one of the standard fobs).

If anyone needs more or better photos of anything specifically, or if you have any questions, feel free to email me at bob@replicacountach.com.
